3/2/2016 I finished the first part of the shawl called the Sunset section. Made entirely with the Contrasting Color (CC). The color I chose is a lovely blue and orange mixture that when it was knitted up actually looked like a sunset! There are SO MANY stitch markers. It definitely gets easier to work with after a while. I am excited to start the next section that is called Sunkissed Treetops.

3/7/2016 I decided to make some of my own stitch-markers! Since there were SO many needed for the pattern and I wanted to make some new ones. I went to Michaels and got some little charms. I also got some rings to put them on. They are super cute and make pretty sounds when I knit with them.

3/16/16 Today was Knitting night at Starlight Knitting Society and I made it through 3 repeats of the Sunkissed Treetops section of the pattern. It was…difficult to begin. When I got to the 3rd repeat of the setup and had to add MORE STITCH MARKERS. After I did a couple more repeats I was able to read the knitting well enough that I ditched the other stitch markers. It is helpful at first but then they are just in the way. The yarn choices I made are coming together SO BEAUTIFULLY! I am exited to watch as the colors change.
