Make This: Hat

Pattern: Purchased at local Yarn store called Pearl Fiber Arts

Yarn: I don’t actually remember the name of the yarn. I bought it at Pearl Fiber so it is probably local hand-spun stuff. I bought two skeins of it because the colors were just amazing as you can see from the finished product! Vastly contrasting colors that blend together beautifully.

When I bought the yarn on a visit to Pearl Fiber Arts, the owner of the store mentioned that it would go perfectly with a pattern she was creating. She had a sample on hand that she just finished and it was great. A flat piece that is brought together on the ends with a button. I had been carrying around a little button I had purchased forever ago in my wallet. Ever have one of those times when things just fall into place for a project? This was one of those moments. So I waited for her to finish writing up the pattern. My friend teaches classes at the store so she was able to pick it up for me.

It took no time at all to complete. I would recommend, if you are in the Portland area, that you go to Pearl Fiber and check out her other patterns. Very easy to understand and well put together.

I love my awesome slouchy hat, and I have had many compliments (maybe not when I am making that face though!) 🙂
